Schmitty first appeared in the You Don't Know Jack series as a background character, beginning with YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Sports.
Schmitty's first appearance as host was YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Television, and would later appear as a host in the netshow 1.5, Volume 4: The Ride, Louder! Faster! Funnier!, 5th Dementia, Mock 2, and Volume 6: The Lost Gold.
Following a lengthy retirement from hosting, Schmitty made his return as the host of Quiplash, and would continue as host for its subsequent sequels.
Schmitty also makes an appearance in the Quiplash minigame from Trivia Murder Party 2.
