Lie Swatter is a trivia video game and one of five games featured in The Jackbox Party Pack.

Gameplay

The game is relatively simple: you're presented with a statement on-screen and on your device. You then have to press either TRUTH if you think that statement is true, and LIE if you think it's bogus.

Every right answer will net you between 100 to 150 points apiece (200 to 300 in the final round,) and if you're playing with other players, a 75 point bonus is awarded if you were the fastest player to get the answer correct.

Rounds 1 and 2 will give out seven miscellaneous facts from different categories, whilst the final round's prompts will be about the same topic.

Once all rounds are concluded, the player with the most points wins the game.

Trivia

  • According to the "Making the Jackbox Party Pack" blog[1], the bugs have different names:
    • The red bug's named Twitch.
    • The orange bug's named Chester.
    • The yellow bug's named Gus.
    • The green bug's named Skippy.
    • The cyan bug's named Sparkles.
    • The indigo bug's named Ed.
    • The purple bug has two different names, those are Barb and Judy.
    • The small grey bug is simply called Host; whilst his two other aquamarine bugs are called Lars.
  • This game was originally made as an iOS mobile game back in March 28th, 2013. The gameplay, as stated on the forementioned blog, worked pretty much the same as the Final Round from the Party Pack version.
    • This game, unlike its Party Pack counterpart, also had two different power-ups: an unnamed power-up which revealed how many of the statements were true in a certain round, and a Double Down power-up, which would double your points or your penalty.
  • The fonts used for this game are JackCondensed (who's creator is unknown) and VAG Rounded[2] by LinoType, a corporate font commissioned by Volkswagen AG back in 1979.
