Fakin' It All Night Long (stylized as Fakin' It! All Night Long) is a social deduction video game and one of three games featured in The Jackbox Naughty Pack. It is the sequel to Fakin' It.

The game works similar to the original: A random player is selected as the Faker, of which the other players (aka sleuths) attempt to find out who they are by answering prompts, then voting on who's answers seem off.

Gameplay

When you first enter the lobby through the player device, you can select from one of ten different avatars: Red Guy, Green Girl, Orange Guy, Blue Girl, Yellow Guy, and Purple Girl all return from the original, but are now playable characters. The remaining four avatars are brand new: Pink Dog, Gray Cat, Robot, and Teal Person.

There are two different modes of gameplay: Same Room and Remote Play. Either one can be chosen directly from the game's main menu screen.

Remote Play

All inputs given from the game are shown on the player's device. After all inputs are received, the answers are then shown on the game's screen.

At the beginning of each round, there are five categories to choose from:

  • Hands of Truth: You're given your prompt (or a "blend in" text, if you're the Faker) and two buttons on your device: one to raise your hand, and one to not.
  • You Gotta Point: You're given your prompt (or a "blend in" text, if you're the Faker) and a list of buttons featuring names from everyone currently in the game's room, including yourself.
  • Emojional Damage: A more streamer-friendly version of the original game's "Face Value," where you're given your prompt (or a "blend in" text, if you're the Faker) and a board of emojis that are separated into their usual categories (faces, animals, objects, etc.)
  • Finger Blast: A remade version of the original game's "Number Pressure," where you're given your prompt (or a "blend in" text, if you're the Faker) and 6 primary buttons, 6 of each containing fingers raised from 0 to 5. There is also a small bird button located at the bottom-right corner of the player's device—when pressed, the player's character will "flip the bird" during the voting phase.
  • Thumb Shot: A new category where you're given a short prompt on your screen (or a "blend in" text, if you're the Faker) and two buttons with the prompt's text on-screen (A.K.A "SEXY or NOT SEXY", for example.) This continues for three rounds.

Unlike in the original, the game does NOT require a unanimous vote in order to catch the Faker—instead, only a majority vote is required (like 5 players for an 8-player game.)

After a generated number of rounds are played, the players move on to the final round: Text You Up. Just like in the original, the players (including the Faker) are given three separate prompts that they'll have to answer, one by one. The Faker will also get three more vaguer prompts that they too have to answer, however (unlike in the original) the Faker does not immediately know they're even the Faker, until after all of their answers have been sent.

During the voting phase, all three prompts are shown per voting round— the Faker is not revealed until after the third voting round.

After all is said and done, the player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
