Suspectives (stylized as SUSPECTIVES) is an upcoming social deduction video game and one of five games featured in The Jackbox Party Pack 11.
In this game, players answer survey questions, whose answers become evidence for a crime that was committed, and they have to figure out who the criminal is based on those responses.[1]
Gameplay
Each game begins with players answering some quick survey questions, ranging from topics like "What's a favorite toy you had growing up?" and "Have you worn a hat today?"
After all the answers are submitted, word goes out that a crime has been committed, with only one player being the secret criminal. (Players would check their device to see if they're the criminal.) However, as each piece of evidence is revealed, one piece at a time, players must keep in mind that one piece is phony.
Each piece of evidence is relayed one at a time, as well as how many players in the party answered the answer shown. If one or more player answered in the way shown ("perp likes their coffee with milk and sugar", for example, having 2 players answer it), everyone can pin guesses on who it could be. If everyone chose the same one (like "perp is confident that they can install a TV"), no guesses are able to be placed. A player is then chosen to interrogate one of the others and everyone votes on whether they think the player is telling the truth, being suspicious, or lying.
At any point, players can hit a READY TO SOLVE button if they're confident they know who the criminal is. Only a majority vote can allow the party to skip straight to the accusation, but you can't turn back once you're ready, so it should not be taken lightly.
After a few pieces of evidence are played, a Lie Detector is able to be used by the party, putting a piece of evidence in play and determining whether it's real or fake. If it's real, you get to reveal one player's honest answer to that survey. If a person's answer doesn't match the survey answer, they are deemed "cleared". If it's phony, it is crossed out and everyone gets back to the game with the next piece of evidence.
During the final verdict, every player has two votes to cast suspicion then one vote to accuse. If the party ties, there is no verdict and the criminal escapes. Otherwise, a majority can result in either a guilty verdict or an innocent verdict depending on the guess.
Development
The game's basic premise was first unveiled during the Jackbox Games Direct on April 7th, 2025[2], where it was also revealed that the game would be directed by Tim Sniffen, who previously directed Tee K.O. 2, Fakin' It All Night Long, and The Jackbox Survey Scramble.
The game's title was announced as Suspectives on May 5th, 2025.[1] From June 14th to July 29th, eight of the dog avatars were revealed.[3][4]
It was revealed at PAX West that Elise Wattman is the game's composer.
