Trivia Murder Party 3 is an upcoming trivia video game. It is the sequel to Trivia Murder Party 2, as well as the first game in the Trivia Murder Party series to be released as a standalone title. It is planned for an early access release on Steam and Epic Games Store in 2026.
The game will take place in an old abandoned summer camp, influenced by horror films like Friday the 13th.[1]
It will not only be the first Jackbox game to incorporate online matchmaking (alongside the classic local play through Jackbox.TV[2]), but also the first to use Unreal Engine 5.[1]
Development
Trivia Murder Party 3 was announced during the Jackbox Games Direct on April 7th, 2025.[2] It was originally planned for an early access release on Steam and Epic Games Store in Fall 2025, with additional platforms to come in 2026.[3]
During a Jackbox Games Reddit AMA on May 5th, it was revealed that the game would be directed by Spencer Ham, who voiced the franchise's host [REDACTED] in the previous two installments.[4]
On May 9th, 2025, Jackbox Games published the first dev diary for Trivia Murder Party 3 on its website, confirming that the game will be built with Unreal Engine 5.[1]
The design team was as follows:

- Joe France - Game Designer
- Brian Chard - Audio Lead
From June 20th to June 24th, all eight new doll avatars for Trivia Murder Party 3 were revealed.[5][6]
On July 14th, 2025, Jackbox Games announced that the game's early access release would be delayed to 2026.[7] The Steam page for the game also went live for wishlisting.[8]
In July of 2025, Caylin Kaunas replaced Alex Weick as the game's lead producer, following the latter's departure from the company.[9][10]
