Civic Doodle is a party video game and one of five games featured in The Jackbox Party Pack 4.

Gameplay

All players can draw their name tags at the lobby screen.

An unfinished drawing containing a short brush stroke in the middle of the canvas or "wall" will show up on screen. Then two players will be chosen to continue drawing on the canvas involving said brush stroke—of which they can change the thickness of the brush, as well as changing its color. Whilst the players are drawing their doodles, the others can tap on the six available emojis on their device to react to the respective drawing.

Once both players submit their doodles or time runs out, the other players (along with the Audience) will vote on the drawing they think liked best. The player who earns the most votes on their drawing will have their doodle move on to the next round, and earn the bigger percentage of the total point pool, as well there being a small 10-point bonus for the player who earns the most amount of taps on a specific emote, chosen randomly by The Mayor; in the case of a tie, however:

  • The emotes will determine the winner of the tie-breaker.
  • If no emotes have been cast or there's another tie on the emotes, the Mayor will pick one at random.

When all players have gotten a turn at doodling on the canvas, everyone will then be tasked to give the final canvas whatever name they want. After everyone's titles have been submitted, they're displayed on-screen, and the players will then vote on which one they think is their favorite, and the title with the most votes will earn their respective amount of points and have their title plastered on a Doodle Valley postcard.

In the final round, every player will earn a canvas of their own, with a circular or ovaloid shape, or three circles in the center, along with name(s) from a supposed Doodle Valley citizen, of which they'll have to draw a portrait of. The players will then be prompted to draw three specific facial features in said portrait—this includes their eyes, nose, mouth, and other details the players would like to add (or, in the case of the three-circle canvas, the players will be prompted to draw a face for each one of them.) Inbetween every prompt, the players will cast a vote on only one drawing that they want to proceed, of which all players will continue with the added feature.

When all rounds have wrapped up, the final scores are shown and a winner is declared. Along with the credits, the players can also draw on a free-for-all canvas, using their respective player color.
