Dirty Drawful is a party video game and one of three games featured in The Jackbox Naughty Pack. It is the fourth game in the Drawful series.

New features in this game include an "undo" button (which can be disabled by turning on "Drawful Purist" in Settings) and the ability to react through emotes. (Starting with the November update, this feature can be turned off.[1])

Gameplay

You're given a prompt on your device, and you have to draw that prompt as accurately as you can with the colors that are given to you (black and white, as well as two other colors.) You can also re-roll a prompt once per round.

(If you got the "Drawful Purist" setting turned off in Settings, you'll be able to undo your last line during the game's drawing phase.)

After everyone's finished with their drawings, one of the player's doodles will show up on screen. Everyone will then type in an answer that could fit that prompt on their device with a 45-character limit.

During each round, player's can react to a drawing using one of eight emotes (in order from left to right): A skull emoji, "No!" text, a fire emoji, a vomiting emoji, a laughing emoji, a screaming emoji, "nice." text, and a confused emoji. (Starting with the November update, emotes can be turned off in settings.[1])

Once everyone's written their lies, they'll be shown on-screen, along with the true answer. Then everyone has to vote for the answer they think is the original prompt; along with this, they can also double down on an answer they are certain is correct.

After all the votes are tallied, the fake answers show up on the screen, with the people who've picked them. Players who've managed to trick players with their lies will get 500 points per person fooled, and 1,000 points for if one of them doubled down.

The original artist (along with the players) gets 1,000 points for every player that got their prompt correctly, and an additional 1,000 points is given to the players who doubled down, rewarding them with 2,000 points.

After all the drawings have been shown, everyone's scores are tallied and a winner is declared, followed by the player with the most likes, and the drawing with the most emotes. (The latter is only shown if emotes are turned on, beginning in the November update.[1])

Trivia

  • The post-game gallery will show one of three different images with different text, depending on the position that you've ended up in the game:
    • "I played Dirty Drawful and have seen some $@&%!" is the default image shown.
    • "I played Dirty Drawful and everyone $@&%ing liked me!" is the text in the image that'll show if you got the most likes on your lies during the game.
    • "I played Dirty Drawful and I won that $@&%!" is the text in the image that'll show if you win the game with the most points.
  • Unlike the other Drawful games, all lies are shown in ascending numerical order, and not randomly. For example: if two people fell for "LIE A" and one person fell for "LIE B", it'd show "LIE B" first and then show "LIE A".
  • Dirty Drawful has the shortest default timer in the series, with only a mere 90 seconds to draw a prompt (that's without the extra time provided by the monologue, nor enabling extended timers.)
  • The primary font used for this game is Click Clack Regular, designed by Ethan Dunham for Fonthead.[2] (This is also the same font used in Job Job.)
    • This is also the only game in the Drawful series that doesn't use the American Typewriter font.
