Hypnotorious is a social deduction video game and one of five games featured in The Jackbox Party Pack 10.

Gameplay

Everyone will be prompted with a certain subject (person, object, show, etc.) that they'll have to role-play as, with the players being able to re-roll their subject for another one once per game. All players will be part of three (or two in 4-player games) different groups, with one of the players obtaining a unique role, named the Outlier, having to blend in with the others as best as they can.

The players will be asked three different prompts, of which they'll have to formulate an answer keeping in mind how their role would answer it. After all answers are revealed, the players will then have to group themselves together with the information they've gathered. In between each prompt, a hint will show up on every players' device, which will direct the players into what the categories could be.

After all the prompts, answers and groupings have been shown, a final accusation period will commence, which will have all players pick the player they think is the Outlier.

  • If a majority of the players manage to successfully catch the Outlier, 3,000 points will be granted to every player.
  • If the players accuse the wrong player as being the Outlier, the real Outlier will earn 5,000 points.

The players will earn an additional 1,000 points if they've managed to successfully group themselves. After the grouping's finished, the players' roles, groups and answers are all shown on-screen, with the other players having the ability to give small 5-point bonuses by pressing the clap button on their device.

The game'll last two rounds, with two different sets of categories on both rounds. After both rounds have concluded, the player with the most points will win the game.
