The Jackbox Party Pack 6 is a party video game developed and published by Jackbox Games.

It is the sixth installment in The Jackbox Party Pack series, and contains five games: Trivia Murder Party 2, Dictionarium, Push the Button, Joke Boat, and Role Models.

Party Pack 6 introduced some new features, including a US-Centric Filter (only for Trivia Murder Party 2), Subtitles, and Password Protection.[1]

History

The Jackbox Party Pack 6 was first announced on March 28th, 2019[2], with Trivia Murder Party 2 as its first game announced during PAX East on March 30th.[3]

The second game, Dictionarium, was announced on July 11th, 2019[4], followed by the third game, Push the Button, on July 25th.[5]

The fourth game, Joke Boat, was announced on August 23rd, 2019[6], followed by the fifth and final game, Role Models, on August 27th.[7]

The game's release date and trailer were unveiled on September 25th—pre-orders on Steam opened on the same day.[8] The soundtrack was released on October 14th.[9]

The Jackbox Party Pack 6 was released on October 17th, 2019 for $29.99 USD—the PlayStation 4 version would arrive in Europe on October 23rd.[10]

The game was also available on the Xfinity X1 as a paid purchase at launch—it was later removed from sale on the platform in September of 2020, before being deactivated on June 3rd, 2021.[11]

On May 30th, 2024, The Jackbox Party Pack 6 received a free update that included additional content for Trivia Murder Party 2.[12]
